Overview of Waiting, Watching, and Warring 12-lesson class:
Lesson 1: The Moravian Fire
In this lesson, you'll receive jewels from the rich history of the Moravians of the 1700's—who modeled lifestyles of prayer, embodied three important strands of truth, and dramatically impacted the life of John Wesley. The wells of intercession in your own life will be opened up as I share the dramatic experience my late wife Michal Ann and I had in Herrnhut, Germany in 1993.
Lesson 2: The Fire on the Altar
Explore the depths of the theme verse of this entire series—Leviticus 6:13, which says, "The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out." You'll discover how the Old Testament ministry of the high priest creates a blueprint for you to follow today. The wind of Gods presence will blow upon the fire of your own heart as you learn to tend it according to the ways of God!
Lesson 3: The Priestly Role of Intercession
Scripture and church history show that one of the primary tasks of the intercessor is to identify with the sins of the people, removing the blockades to communion through repentance. In this lesson, you'll discover the depths of priestly prayer and receive a practical and solid Biblical foundation for intercession.
Lesson 4: The Courts of the Lord
Through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we have access into the very courts of God and may come boldly into His presence. As ambassadors of Jesus, we don't only come to represent our own needs, but also the needs of others. You'll learn how to prepare a treatise and take your stand between God's righteous judgments and the need for mercy on behalf of His people.
Lesson 5: The Art of Pleading Your Case
As believers in Jesus, each of us carries the privilege of standing in the gap for others and presenting your case before the Judge of all. There are seven critical aspects of pleading your case before God as you rely on the powerful blood of Jesus. Rooted in the truth of scripture, you'll be challenged to argue your case before the Lord, receiving mercy instead of justice!
Lesson 6: The Need to War for the Promise
Part of your role in the body of Christ is to be a Kingdom enforcer of what Jesus has already completed on the cross. And you are desperately needed! By waging war in the Spirit over your prophetic promises, you will learn to not only see the promise birthed, but also protected from the schemes of the enemy.
Lesson 7: The Watch of the Lord
Throughout the Gospels, we are warned eleven times to "Watch!" Jesus made clear what His followers should be doing in the Last Days. You'll be inspired by stories from my personal treasure chest of prayer, as well as the 110-year Watch of the Lord launched by the Moravian believers.
Lesson 8: The Path from Prayer to His Presence
Do you want to be a carrier of God's brilliant presence? Scripture outlines a distinct pathway that goes from the incense of prayer into the very presence of God. You'll be enlightened by the power released through the important ingredients found in incense and understand the framework they give us for true Biblical prayer.
Lesson 9: The House of Prayer for All Nations
During His earthly ministry, Jesus quoted the prophetic word from Isaiah declaring that we are to be a House of Prayer for all nations. Do you want to receive keys for unlocking a harvest of lost souls? In this lesson, you'll be touched by God's big heart for all people, tribes and tongues, and enter into His end-time vision of the Great Harvest.
Lesson 10: The Promise of the Supernatural
Using the ministry of Zacharias outlined in Luke 1, we learn that "what goes up must come down." Prayer arises to heaven and then descends in answers through the powerful flow of the Holy Spirit, fulfilling His promise to bring an increase of the supernatural into each of our lives. This lesson will also introduce you to the ministry and function of angels and how you can partner with them through prayer.
Lesson 11: The Arm of the Lord
God often uses parables to deliver revelation. He used the Gospel of Luke and my dream of an ATM machine to release a powerful truth for today—it is time for Apostolic Team Ministry to come forth in the body of Christ. We are called to move from priestly prayer to prophetic intercession, and then into apostolic authority. In this lesson, you'll discover what it looks like when the "Arm of the Lord" is bared.
Lesson 12: The Day of the Watch Has Come!
Jesus has called His followers to be doers of the Word, not just hearers only. This lesson will inspire you through stories from church history, scriptural understanding and recent testimonies to be "Possessed by God" for such a time as this. The hour has come for you to take your place in the body of Christ—Waiting, Watching and Warring for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The day of the watch has come!
